I got together with Annie McLoone and Tom Moncrieff (aka The Rude Lab/McLooney Tunes) in 2008 when I moved to the bustling metropolis of Winona Minnesota (population approx. 27,000) from Phoenix, Arizona. Annie and Tom have been a godsend for my musical career. They've helped me with my writing, given me wonderful production support and just been great friends through the whole process of creating this album. I moved here after reconnecting with my college sweetheart after more than 25 years apart. Imagine that! So... much of what you hear on the album are songs written for Penny, about Penny and with Penny holding down a wonderful place in my heart. Also, many of the songs deal with my spiritual quest, feelings of struggle and the answers I have found along the road. I've always been pretty selective about the lyrics that I listen to and try to make my songs as meaningful as I can without hammering anyone over the head. Annie and Tom also added their world class musical talent to this album-Tom with his awesome guitar work; percussion; bass; horn and string arrangements; and Annie with her superb back-up vocals, harmonica and strings. We also got great support from the cast of super musicians listed on the album. This was definitely a team effort. This album is smooth, melodic and meaningful. I know you'll love it.
